Mother Teresa About Animals
"(Animals) too are created by the same hand of God which created us. As we humans are gifted with intelligence, which the animals lack, it is our duty to protect them an to promote their well-being. We owe it to them as they serve us with such docility and loyalty." Mother Teresa, quoted in a 1972 letter from a Kentucky woman who had written to her. The letter appeared in St. Anthony Messenger (2003). The letter is referenced in the 2009 book, Will I See My Dog in Heaven? God's Saving Love for the Whole Family of Creation, by Jack Wintz, a Franciscan.

Unusual Christian Places: Lexington Ice Center Miniature Golf
Lexington Ice Center Miniature Golf in Lexington, Kentucky (USA) is described by Entertainmentdesigner.com as “a mini-golf course God himself would be proud of. … we consider it kooky and memorable enough to make the top ten””
The complex is built around an ice skating/hockey rink to which has been added three 18-hole biblically themed miniature golf courses. The three themes are : the New Testament, the Old Testament, and the Miracles course. The individual holes are each based on a verse or passage of scripture, such as Jonah and the Whale, Mount Sinai, or the River of Blood.
For those unfamiliar with miniature golf, it is usually played on short themed tracks which incorporate odd angles, obstacles, and themed characters or objects placed along the course. At one famed course in Florida (USA) there once was a giant monkey whose tail swept regularly in front of the hole.
Here is a video of one of the Walt Disney World Resort miniature golf courses as an example:

Christian Illustrators: Stephen S. Sawyer
Stephen S. Sawyer (b. 1952, Kentucky, USA) is a commercial artist, portrait painter, and motivational speaker. His most frequent portrait subject is Jesus Christ. Many of his Jesus portraits are traditional in nature, but a few are not, such as his "Undefeated ," which presents Jesus as very muscular and handsome,
in contrast to many Jesus portraits which emphasize His gentleness.
You may find "Undefeated" to be unsettling. The reality is that Jesus was probably not handsome, He was probably very average or even unattractive in his physical appearance. He was
someone who no one would have expected to be the Messiah. That is how God works. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." Isaiah 55:8.
On the subject of His masculinity, Jesus was surely not in any
way physically effeminate. He grew up doing carpentry, a very hard, heavy, physical craft.

Pray for the People of Alabama
Today is a beautiful sunny mild day. Yesterday was sheer terror.
Yesterday there were at least 164 tornadoes in six southern states (Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and Kentucky) of the United States. At least 280 people died, with 195 of those in Alabama. They are still finding more and many are still missing. Hundreds were injured.
Please pray for the people of Alabama.
The tornado which hit Tuscaloosa and Birmingham (it was the same mile-wide tornado) was probably an EF3 - EF5. An EF3 tornado has wind speeds of 158-206 mph while an EF5 has speeds of 261-318 mph. The EF ratings are part of the Fujita Scale devised by Tetsuya "Ted" Fujita (1920-1998) in 1971 at The University of Chicago.
The authorities are discouraging people from showing up to help because of the danger; you can not safely just begin to pull and tug on some of these buildings or they might collapse on you. The National Guard, police, and firemen are doing that work. Local churches are helping in another way; preparing food for the hundreds of rescue workers. This is a noble work by the churches. Please pray for them, the rescue workers, the injured, and the families which have lost loved ones.
